Featured in the Story Build Hangar E-8.
The MSR-3 (Multi-role Shuttle 3) is nicknamed "The Cub" after its resemblance to Therian children, who spend their first few years moving around on all fours. Far from the clumsy crawling of human infants, Therian "toddlers" are agile and swift.
The shuttle was jointly designed by Therian and Centuri (mostly human) engineers to be a new workhorse general purpose ship for the Therian fleet.
The ship is capable of spaceflight, but only carries limited supplies and fuel and requires the support of a carrier class ship.
Panels along the flanks of the ship open up to engine components for ease of access when repairs are needed. Some on the board of designers feel that this is a design risk as even the extra armor attached to the panel may fail to prevent critical damage to the sensitive machinery within.
Because its propulsion requires almost no runway for takeoff, the folding landing gear resembles that typically found on V-TOL class air and spacecraft.
The powerful engines of the MSR-3 greatly enhance its versatility. It is capable of emergency landing and takeoff in a wide array of conditions. If it were larger, it would be a formidable dropship.
Builder's Note: The components of the ship are, thankfully, easily removable and attachable, making a lot of photography for using the interior more feasible for future builds. This is with the cockpit's blastshield and the "backbone" of the ship removed.
For training purposes, this MSR-3 has been installed with twinned control seats. Alternatively, the second seat could be utilized as passenger space, a gunnery station, or additional cargo space.

A look at the interior of the MSR-3, including a pilot's view of the inside of the blastshield, the emergency survival gear loaded in the limited cargo space, and with the access ramp in the closed position.
