Sorry to double-post. Jackson and I were talking about "suggested 'figs" for Centuri. This means torsos/legs and equipment combinations that will help create a sense of consistency in the faction. Like uniforms for different kinds of Centuri military branches, for example. They're only suggestions but may help people if they are stuck on things like "how should I make my Centuri heavy trooper look?" and things like that. Everybody has different collections, of course, so trying to foster some kind of "uniform look" for different types of Centuri characters (soldiers, pilots, engineers, etc) may not work very well! Plus, different regions or specialized groups might have their own version of a uniform anyway. Here's my suggestion for pilots, inspired by the Viper Pilots from Battlestar Galactica. This combo uses mostly CMF Space Miner parts mixed with orange arms.
Great, now I have to go get some of those, cause they look really good as pilots. |

Faction Challenge I, Defensive PositionsThis is the very first Centuri Faction Challenge, or FC. Entering and winning the FC will earn you personal points, so be sure to participate!
As Nova Leage raids into Centuri space increase, and Imperial harassment occurs more frequently, Centuri High Command gives the order for a massive increase in the number of defensive positions across the Conglomeration.
The goal of this FC is to build a defensive structure: It can be a ground-based turret, a orbital defense space station; anything that will keep the other factions at bay.
Maximum size is 32x32
You will receive 4 points for entering the FC, and the winner will receive a total of 5. The entries will be judged by me, Jackson of Centuri. I can enter, but cannot win.
The deadline is Midnight EST, November 10, 2014.
If you haven't completed your S-UB yet, you must do that before you can enter any challenge.

Here is my entry!  The MA124 a.k.a. "fly swatter" was purchased by the Centuri conglomeration to defend against light air attacks such as low flying starfighters, freighters and jet troopers. Armament: twin laser cannons and an R5-2 projectile launcher. The large photoreceptor eye can identify one target per millisecond making it excellent at taking out swarms of ships. Hooray! My concept right now is actually a ship. Is that okay or should I be saving that for the future? You should probably save that for later. The goal is to build a defensive position, so a space station would be okay, but not a ship. |
