"I'm serious, Frost!," Vin said, gesturing at his digital wrist-relay. "I've checked with the datalogs and that's the fastest anyone's completed the Target Course."
"But how was my accuracy?" the bounty hunter asked with a grin. Kilvane had always been a stickler for perfection, but he really wanted to make a name for himself with the Centuri.
"Out of thirty-eight targets at the 1,000 meter range, twenty-seven were dead center! You're a whiz with that rifle, Frost; I tell ya." The diminutive tech operator always entertained Kilvane. "Heh, sure glad you landed on Alpha Centuri - what if them Blueshirts had gotten ya? Or the Nova League? Sheesh, then where'd we be?"
"Space," Kilvane said, pulling back the bolt and tossing Vin an empty casing, still smoking from the last plasma round the blaster rifle had fired. "You'd be in space, Vin."

Do we have a Flikr group? We should keep it open - I know I'm going to continue Kilvane's story.
