GALACTIC CHALLENGE 1: GATHERING THUNDER

............."Ah, Commander Fore," Henry of Centuri said as Grand commander fore's holograph appeared on his desk.
"Henry.........We have received bad news"..........."Of what sort do you mean," said Henry............"Our scouts have reported large amounts of ship and troop buildups near several locations close to our borders"..........."What!"............"This could mean war very soon," said Henry............."I know, said Fore...Which comes to my point.....Our weapons factories need to be overseen"...."Oh, I get it, you need me to get down there and supervise"........."Exactly, with you industrial background you seem to be the perfect fit"......"I'll be honored to serve!" Said Henry......."Good.I need you to travel to Theris, one of our smaller yet more important weapon/distribution plants"...."It will be done as you have said," Henry replied. There was a flash then no more was the holograph. "Yawn...I guess there will no mid day nap for me" said Henry. He briskly walked to his ship the Stryker. Soon he was in the cockpit setting his course for Theris. Once on the planet, he was soon captivated by the beautiful jungle landscape. "Cough, cough excuse me, Captain Henry of our fair land. I am Turf, a loyal scout of Centuri. I was assigned to meet you hear." "Ah, good then, lets see this plant, shall we?" Henry said.

Normally I'd say no, but since tis is our first GC and we want to get lot  of participation, I'll say yes. I'll update the first post in a bit.

  Attention all SfK members!

As this building challenge comes to its close, we (the SfK mod team) would like to make a few announcements:

- First off, tomorrow is the last day to enter. If anyone still has a photo to upload, hop to it. If you're almost done with the build and really really want to make it in, shoot a PM over to me or another mod, and since this is our first GC and we're still getting started, we may allow you an exception.

- Secondly, we want to thank everyone who has built for this. Y'all have really made this great, and you can pride yourself in knowing that you guys helped to kick off SfK' s first major challenge. We're really trying to get participation up and grow SfK, and I'm rather pleased by all the great builds for this challenge. We have exciting things to come in the future, so keep on building.

- Finally, there has been a new development. We have decided that the faction that scores the lowest will be under prepared for the coming war, and will receive a 5 point deduction in the scoring for the next GC, which, as you might have guessed, is about the war.(Sssh, don't tell the other mods I told you that!) 

How is it determined how high the factions scored? is it based around how many people from your faction entered? if so, that could be a rather unfair advantage to Nova League, since they have about twice as many members as other factions     

A New Weapon -- GCI




With rumors of war circulating through the Empire, it was no surprise when Dr. Nex received orders that the deadline to finish his project had been pushed forward. Fortunately, he was already ahead of schedule.

"Doctor, these readings say that the subject is cannot handle the--"
"I know what it says you imbecile. Continue uploading the program to the prototype. He can take it."

Drakk turned to leave the lab, he had good news to deliver to the commander.

Dr. Nex has created a new clone template for the armies of the Terran Empire. Along with enhanced physical and mental capabilities, he has managed to integrate nanites directly into their DNA makeup. This allows commanders direct interface to the troops, as well as ensuring the soldiers dependence and loyalty to the Empire through instantaneous manipulation by handlers.
