Galactic Challenge 1: Gathering Thunder
While for many years, nominal yet substantial peace has been kept between the Centuri Conglomeration and the Terran Empire, the rise and increased activity of the Nova League and other enmities recently has once again kindled the former tensions. War is imminent, and while officials turn a blind eye and carry on as if nothing is happening, quietly governments of both sides scrabbled to muster troops and resources. The Nova League sees an opportunity for personal gain and prepares to offer mercenary and smuggling services to whichever faction can offer the most money. Open war is on the horizon.
The Challenge: It is time to help your faction prepare for war in whatever way possible!
Centuri Conglomeration and Terran Empire: Your task is to show your character being involved, whether it be assisting or being trained, with the preparations for the imminent war. Ideas include: Manufacturing or buying weapons, training forces of being trained, making battle plans, etc.
Nova League: Your task is to show your character offering their services to the faction of their choice. Ideas include commissions for mercenary services, capturing, smuggling supplies, helping to modify starship designs, etc. (Attention League Members! This could * hint* fit very well *hint * with the ongoing FC2! Although they must be separate builds, these 2 could be adjacent!)
Max Size: Your build should not have a footprint of more than 2,304 studs. If it has a square base, this is 1 48x48 baseplate.
Reward: 5 points, yes 5 Personal Points for entering. There will be an additional 5 points for winning. We (the mods) really want to get participation for SfK off the ground, so this should give you some incentive. And the builder of the winning entry will receive an assortment of sci-fi themed accessories from Neonbricks.
Deadline: Many of you, like myself, are also CC'ers and building frantically for the CCC. So we want to give you some time after that, and also some time to implement any new parts you may get for the holidays. February 1st is the deadline.
Notes: (Important in bold) All fig-scaled entries must include your character. You may go micro scale, though. Only one entry is allowed.To earn points for your faction, you must submit your entry here, to earn the 5 points for yourself, you must submit your entry to you faction thread. Basically: do both. We've already said this in the FAQ, but no clone brands. 3rd party accessories are permitted, though. Any further questions may be asked in the FAQ thread. Good luck, let's get building!

Do we have a Flikr group? We should keep it open - I know I'm going to continue Kilvane's story.
