Well yestarday before I go to sleep I was thinking about a King of the Galaxy, something like maybe a Galaxy challenge of the - How our characters compete... But I am not sure is it a good idea

Maybe some assassination mission ? So, there would be the overall story of an assassination attempt and then each faction would have a certain objective:
Nova League: Assassinate the Terran Empire politician
Terran Empire: Prevent the assassination
Century Conglomeration: Steal certain confidential Terran Empire info, while everyone is busy assassinating each other...
Something like this would be nice.

I would really suggest getting the backstory up asap. Its hard to choose a side when we don't really know anything of the universe. At least for me personally. Really excited to see this get going!

I haven't heard of the lore challenge before, Will look that up when I have time. You will have to look back on classic-castle, it was like 3 years ago when the official lore was decided on. |

I do think it would be a good idea to work lore-building into the initial LCs and GC(s) as much as possible so all the early adopters of SfK can take part in creating the flavor and details of the universe.
That said, the mods/staff seem okay with us using our own ideas as long as we run it by them. Check out my sigfig for an example. They let me create a planet and a playable alien species!

We're working on the basic backstory right now, and it should be up before the end of this week. Also, making your own planet/species/culture is highly encouraged. There are thousands of planets in the galaxy, it's up to you guys to decide their details! |

Hey guys, so me and my friend have been working on this planetary classification system, maybe we could use it in SFK?
Examples of planetary classification using earth, jupiter, and the fictional planet necrosis as primary examples.
Full Classification Planet Simplified Classification

Yeesh. That seems a bit complex presented like that. Yeah, what he said. I think realism is over-rated. Once you get into distances and mass etc it really bogs down any creativity. I'm all for giving info on any fictional planets but something more like: Name: Earth Population: 7billion Race: Humanoid (Earthlings) Terrain: Varied - ice at poles, deserts at equator, green elsewhere Moons: 1 - known as 'the moon' Distance from the sun: 8 minutes at lightspeed. Is probably enough info for people to get an idea of what's going on. You could maybe throw something in there about the size of the planet if there was a simple classification system. |
